"There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know.
There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know.
But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."

Donald Rumsfeld

Above is an interesting quote that I had come across at the Schroders' Investment Seminar organised by Shroders and AGD that I will like to share.

There is a love-hate relationship on my part with regard to "unknown unknowns". For one, I am someone who hates not knowing what I don't know. It makes me feel insecure and my mind tends to run wild with imagination, imagining several outcomes and reactions. However, on the other hand, I hate predictability in life too! I like surprises, mind you, I mean surprises not shocks! I tend to welcome unpredictable situations, especially pleasant ones, thus resulting in an adrenaline rush. Well, I guess that's just how human nature is. =p

I happened to know something from somewhere that upsets me. I wished I hadn't reacted so negatively to it but I guess I still feel for a certain someone and I admit that I do harbour some form of hope. Privately, I had hoped that the information is erroneous!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday night was a great night for the Circle of Trust (Daphne, Wen Ting, Nicole, Eugene and I). Dinner at Modesto @ Vivocity and chilling out at Prive @ Keppel Island was awesome. I hope our birthday gal, Daphne, had enjoyed herself tremendously. I have no photos to upload because they were all in Wen Ting's camera. haha, I am getting lazier by the day to take photos at our gatherings! It was always great to meet up to gossip, complain about things, catch up and enjoy each other's company. Though there was no more sofa seats available, we still managed to get the sea view seats.

Taking a romantic walk around the island with Eug has been erm romantic, I guess. The route was almost deserted, only us walking on the pathway and only at one pavilion did we see a couple rendezvous-ing and possibly making out there. I guess we were quite a gigantic lightbulb! LOL. Walking around the exact path that I had walked a year plus ago with Kel made me realise that there had been no developments or changes at all. The place is as it is the previous time that I was there. I was back at the same place but the person who had been with me the first time round is no longer with me. 地方依就但人事已非.. Haiz, nostalgic ~

Anyway, Happy Vesak Day!

Cheers,
Hui

A lovely Spanish song~

This is the first song my cute Flamenco instructor introduced me to. As the song is quite slow with distinct beats, it was the first song we danced and practised Flamenco to. If anyone wants the song, I can send it over.

Cuidar Nuestro Amor can be translated to Caring for our Love. How sweet and apt for those in love! It is not difficult to learn how to sing the song so do try! =)

Artist: David Bisbal

"Cuidar Nuestro Amor" lyrics:

me perderé.

Cuidar nuestro amor.

Listening to this reminds me of the beauty of Flamenco, how the wrists rotate with beautiful hand gestures etc... Let me tell you more about Flamenco...

Flamenco is a Spanish dance that originated from Andalusia region of Southern Spain. It used to be danced by gypsies in the past. Modern day Flamenco possesses Latin American and Cuban influences. It is characterised by the expressive use of hands and rhythmnic stamping of the feet to the music. Guitars, castanets are frequently seen. The most basic form of hands movement is known as "braceo" (pronounced as "bra-say-yo"), which in my opinion is tiring for the wrists but presents a very graceful demeanour. Clapping (or otherwise known as Palmas) portrays the passion and enthusiam the dancer has.

I had really enjoyed Flamenco! I love the music, the braceo, the fast-paced moves, the intricate hand and feet coordination and definitely my very cute and young (he is MY AGE!!) Cuban instructor Michel Cruz Fernandez. Haha, he is darn hot, has a good body and dances super well. =)

Alright, going back to what I am supposed to do. Adieus!

Time really flies... I had been in my current company for 10 months... and still counting. I can't say I hated everything there but I can't safely say that I truly enjoy myself too, hence, two word sum it all - MIXED FEELINGS.

I had made both friends and enemies in office. I know some of you may wonder why I willingly admitted that I had made enemies in office, especially when everyone will just pretend to like each other. Well, for one, I don't like to hide the fact that there are people who dislike me and there are also people whom I can't stand for nuts. As a matter of fact, one can never please everyone and be real friends with everyone. Hence, there is absolutely no point in pretending. With that said, I have to emphasize that though there are people whom we cannot see eye to eye with, we are still civilised people who will still keep at each other's arm's length and relationships at work are still managed professionally.

Ever since I had started working one and a half years ago, I had understood that peer support is very crucial in an organisation. Hence, I am very fortunate to have my circle of trust now. We will yak and lament to each other during lunch and dinner sessions to cool off some steam that had been bottled up during work hours. It does help a lot to have people who can understand your frustrations and gossip with you about ongoings in office. Initially, it was just the four of us, Daphne, Wen Ting, Nicole and I who always hang out together. Jonathan can be considered our circle of trust's honourary member as he is always at his client's place. Our new addition, Eugene (hey, I type your whole name here ok, so don't complain already), had added more spice and laughter to our exclusive circle. He should feel honoured being the only male member and we had enlightened him quite a lot on female fashion. Am I right? =)

With regards to work, initially, I had been handling policy related matters, which had seriously irked me tremendously. I, for one, hated policy work as I feel I am someone who likes to see tangible things instead of tangling myself in nebulous matters. After six months into policy work, there was an internal rotation in Finance and I was assigned to do Finance Management, which deals with Payments and Payroll issues, Land and Building matters. I felt more at ease and happier handling payments, looking at the Accounts Payable ageing etc. Hmm, this could be due to me preferring to see and analyze numbers than write tons of nonsensical submissions and papers.

Enough about work and its woes, I am very inclined to rant about an episode that happened yesterday on board Bus No, 5. I was very pissed off with the bus uncle who COULD NOT DRIVE WELL! I felt that he had a "brake sensitivity and gauging deficiency". -.- He kept on accelerating and braking intermittently HARD which makes the ride super jerky and dangerous. I had nearly fallen down during one of his incompetent braking. I did not understand why he had to accelerate so hard before determining that it was safe to move off and then had to brake so hard he realised it wasn't safe and he had to brake to avoid any collisions. Hence, I was already glaring into his mirror whenever he pulled his stupid stunt. Another stupid thing he did was to stop in the middle of PIE second lane because he wanted to cut to the first lane as he would need to exit from PIE at the next exit. He wanted to cut to the first lane super early, for don't know what reason, (maybe there is prize for changing lane early >.<) AND the most important thing was he tried to change lane at the entrance of the PIE whereby cars are zooming into the expressway. Where got car will stop and let you change lane? So he stop the bus and waited. Faints can? Then when he finally got a chance, he changed lane so abruptly, as in he swerved in sharply. SO ARGH LA! >.<*

Anyway, enough said, I am going off. I will try to update soon, May all of you have a great weekend ahead! Au revoir!

Cheers,
Hui~

NOTE/DISCLAIMER: This entry below had been typed in August 2009!! I had not uploaded it but since I had spent time and effort to type it, I might as well post it. From now on, I will update more often, with special request from Eug.. LOL.. Eug, feel honoured ok? =p

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

August is here... which means I had not been updating for the past one and a half months. Sorry, as I had been busy adapting to a new work life in a new company. Well, another reason can be attributed to the fact that I had no mood to update it. Haha.

Anyway, here are all the updates in one go. I guess you all have been used to seeing huge chunks of updates at one go instead of having one each day etc.

I had started a new day at work on 1st July 2009. Yes to all who do not know I had left KPMG eons ago. I am now working in a Ministry. And YES, I am now a civil servant. But NO to the fact that I will stay on super long or for the rest of my life. I have not really planned what to do next, though my current tentative plan is to go pursue my MBA after around two to three years. Anyway, life at work had been quite good. My colleagues are nice people and I had gotten close to three of them but none of the three are in my department. I wasn't as depressed as before though I do feel some levels of stress. Do not worry because I am someone who can cope with the 'some levels of stress'. =p

Being free from the super duper busy audit life, I am now able to have my desired work-life balance. Thus I am now continuing my French every Saturday at 9am. I have the goal to complete my DELF A1 certification by this year. DELF is an internationally-recognised exam to certify the achievement of certain proficiency levels. There are many levels of DELF. A1 is the most basic one, but there are more to come. =) Other than French, I am now continuing my dance classes. Currently, I am taking Waltz and Club Cha Cha. Waltz is a dance that is very suitable for couples because of its intimacy level. The couple dancing has to be close at the hips and legs level. Hence, usually my class does not have partner rotation for Waltz. I felt slightly handicapped while dancing Waltz because I am firstly not used to the 'heel then ball' steps (Latin dances that I had taken go by the principle of 'ball then heel steps') and secondly I am not comfortable with the intimacy or closeness with the other party (Latin and Social dances that I had taken are not that intimate as there are many gaps in between the guy and the girl). Maybe I will do Waltz again if I can persuade my boyfriend to join me.

I love spending the afternoon at the beach. Hence, dear and I went on the 3rd Saturday of July, after my French class. It was the first time we took the skytrain into Sentosa. Usually we would just drive in but this time, we left the car at HarbourFront City and squeezed with other people to enter via the skytrain. It was great bathing in the sea, then subsequently lying on the beach towel under the sun, sladdering suntan lotion on his back to suntan, reading magazines and eating packets of chips. It was darn relaxing. Know what? I saw a mini crab swimming in the sea. Initially, I thought it was a bunch of seaweed etc because it was dark in colour and small in size. It was only after the crab had swam nearer was I able to distinguish it from a bunch of seaweed. It was a cute mini crab that is just like the size of my palm. It was cute but I never will want to touch it. Haha. Dear was interested to catch it but I was so worried that that the crab would use its pincers on him. -.-

I met up with many different people for lunches and dinners. Some of which are my first time meeting up with them. I met up with dear's secondary school friend, Denise, who happened to work at KPMG HR department. Previously I had only known of her existence but never seen her or talk to her before. I met her for lunch at Mei Xiang Lou on a particular Wednesday. When I told my colleagues that I am meeting a person that I don't really know, they thought I was mad. -.- Ya it was true that I don't know her but I can get to know her what. That's how friends are made and friendships are formed. I guessed me and her weren't that different as we can somehow click quite well. Haha. It was fun talking to her. Hmm, I guess I will ask her out for lunch again soon. =)

Another gathering was Veena's birthday. It was supposed to be a birthday celebration for Veena on the night after her birthday. However, as everyone is very busy, only Wan Jing and I met up to celebrate her birthday. We ate at an Australian restaurant Barossa at Esplanade. The food there is nice. Really nice. Haha, you can see the pictures at Facebook. I will upload them there.

Ok I decide not to upload photos here already. It is taking freaking ages. -.- Anyway, above are evidences of us presenting the present to Veena. Haha...

Updates again...

I realise I prefer to link all my updates into one single post because I feel that it is easier to type out everything. Haha.

I had watched a few movies in this relaxing month of June...

Well, I had gone to watch Terminator with dear on 6th June. We were initially blurred at what was happening in the show as we did not have any prior knowledge about it. Maybe dear did watch some Terminator shows previously but had forgotten, but for me, it was my first time watching the Terminator series. My brother chided me when I told him that I was confused by what was happening at first. He had told me to watch The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series previously but I had refused. If I had, I would have followed the show a lot better. Haha, anyway the blurrness was only for the first 30mins. Subsequently, the show was more understandable to us. Being an action movie, I did not feel that it was boring or anything. Haha.

The next movie was Drag me to Hell. It was a treat from Emileo to Wan Jing and I after we treated him lunch for his birthday. He told us it was a HORROR movie so we were alright with watching it. However, there were many gory scenes in the show which resulted in us scolding him. We considered the show to be more of GORE then HORROR! For those who knew me well should know I don't mind and love watching horror and ghost movies. So this is a chui show. However, the show emphasized a point and that was if you were fated to die or if devil was to claim your life at a point in time, there was nothing you can do to avoid and avert it so better faced it bravely and used the remaining days to accomplish whatever you wanted to do. Well, I do believe in fate so ya... =)

Another movie that I had watched was Night at the Museum 2 on 13 June, Sat. It was about exhibits in a museum coming alive at night, after sunset  and the reason for that was there was an ancient Egyptian stone on display in the museum. In the sequel, it talked about the museum closing down for renovation and most of the exhibits were moving to another place to be stored in the archives. Then for the story to continue, obviously the Egyptian stone was being deported to the new place too, which caused the exhibits in the new place to come alive at night. One of the exhibits was an Egyptian prince who wanted to use the stone to bring his army of undead back to the modern world and take over the world. Thus, the ex-curator, the one who had worked in the previous museum and made friends with the exhibits had to rush to the new museum to save the world. Well, I guessed it was a typical story. Haha. The show was a tad boring as the storyline could be guessed easily.

A  recent movie that I watched was Transformers 2. OMG I totally love it!! I just felt it was great. I was feeling the sadness in me when Optimus Prime died. I even felt tears in my eyes. It was really devastating especially when the decepticons The Fallen said that only a Prime could destroy him and the only Prime left was dead. However, I still held a hope that he would resurrect in the show and show his might, of which my hope was gladly fulfilled when he came back to life to fight off the decepticons. Oooh, I just love the show. You all should just go and watch it. The Autobots are awesome!!

The most recent movie that I watched was Trail of the Panda on 24th June with my mum. My mum practically dragged me there to watch. My brother refused to go and even told me to drink more caffine so I won't fall asleep there. -.- It was a coincidence to meet Joelle, Wei Yuan and their parents there. As you all should be able to guess, it must be the parents who wanted to watch. Haha. Anyway, the show was alright, I would say. I believed that it must be true to some extend, maybe a partial biography. The pandas are darn cute, especially when they are biting the bamboo shoots and climbing a tree. The show ended with them introducing the panda habitat preservation efforts. It was also saddening to know that the mother panda who acted in the show died during the Sichuan earthquake.

4 June is Emileo's birthday. So Wan Jing and I had wanted to treat him to Japanese food at Hibiki Restaurant at Cuppage Terrace. However, as he was super late, the restaurant was closed by the time he reached. Hence, we went to eat Waraku de Gohan at Cuppage Plaza instead. Haiz. I was so excited about Hibiki k? Nevermind, because I went to eat with Wan Jing on 17th June instead. The food was generally nice. I liked the sashimi as it was very fresh and very exquisitely placed on the plate. The sukiyaki items were also commendable especially the beef cubes, Shitake mushroom and the golden mushrooms wrapped in bacons. The dessert was interesting as it was pomelo jelly on top of layers of ice. I found it palatable but Wan Jing didn't seem to like it. She said that there was a weird taste in the jelly. The food was served very slow, though there was only one other table being occupied. We were starving, thus we were discussing among ourselves as to why food like sashimi could take super long to be served. Ha, we understood it when we saw the layout of the food being served. They make it a point to decorate it nicely. Ha, we felt it wasn't necessary considering that it was a ONE-HOUR buffet lunch. Speed should be the key! Haha, nevermind, we ate a lot that day for just $22++ per person.

I BAKED muffins on 11th June!!! I made chocolate muffins for dear. The first round was disastrous as the batter overflowed. However, it got alot better in the second baking. The chocolate chips were too little I guessed. Haha, nevermind, I will put in more next time. But to those who had to the honour of eating it, you should say is nice k? =p

During this month, I had met up with several people; people whom I had not met up for some time.

I finally met up with Jie Feng on 12 June to visit the Asian Civilisation Museum to watch the Kangxi Imperial Treasures Exhibition. He had been MIA-ing in USA for 3 months!! So enjoyable and envious right? Haha. We only had 30mins to finish seeing all the exhibits because we ate dinner too slowly. I liked the exhibition as it showed the valuable treasures, artefacts and narrated Kangxi's reign aptly and in an easily understandable way. I was glad I did not miss it.

I had late night drinks with Shu Jin on 13 June at ECP. It was great meeting with him over drinks. Uncle Shu Jin, be happy always k? =)

I had a dinner appointment at Fish & Co with Kailin, Siew Keng and Mdm Goo on 15th June. Kailin and Siew Keng are my Secondary school friends and Mdm Goo was previously my Maths teacher in upper secondary. It was really great chatting with them, especially Mdm Goo, whom I had not seen since a very long time ago. I was still very accustomed to calling her Ms Goo, instead of Mdm Goo. We used the time to catch up with each other's lives in these few years and what we intended to do in future. Mdm Goo has become more of a friend than a teacher to us now. It was really enjoyable talking to her about family and lives. There no longer was a teacher-student gap between us and conversations flowed freely.

On 16th June, Veena and I met up with Kok Kong for dinner and a chat over coffee after dinner. As KK was not feeling well, we had to eat at somewhere with lighter fare of food. Hence, I suggested Imperial Kitchen at Marina Square. I thought that Imperial Kitchen, being a Chinese restaurant, should have porridge. However, to my dismay, they did not serve porridge, so we ate La Mian instead. Ha, really sorry to KK, I really thought that it was like Crystal Jade and would served porridge. After the dinner, we chatted over coffee and desserts at TCC CityLink Mall. Veena and I were engrossed over KK's Iphone's games. His IPhone really was lotsa games, even more than dear's IPhone. Haha. I ordered this Nutella whatever drink that was super duper SMALL and tasted very bitter, which left me wondering why the drink was bitter when there should have been nutella chocolate. Nutella chocolate was supposed to be very sweet k? So, I poured in a packet of sugar into the very small glass, swirling to dissolve it. When I drank it, it tasted super SWEET. Ha, only then did I realise that I should stir the nutella chocolate to dissolve to sweeten the drink and not put in sugar. Now, with sugar and nutella, the drink was unbearably sweet. Faint. So, I modified it abit by drinking a mouthful and adding water to the small glass to dilute the sweetness. Haha. So in the end, I made a SMALL glass seemed BIG as I forever had to pour in water to dilute it. How ingenious of me right? Haha.. =p

On 18th June, I met up with Kailin to cycle at ECP. We cycled for one a half hour maximum because our butts hurt from cycling so long. Kailin just learnt how to skate so initially she wanted to skate abit and I was interested to ask her to teach me because I wanna learnt too. So I can go skate with dear in future. =p However, as I was going diving, I decided not to learn as yet. I would fall and maybe injured my legs due to abrasions which will be super painful should I go into the water. Haha. But nevertheless, I will go learn soon!!! Anyone who knows skating well can volunteer to come and teach me. =p

I purposely went down to Raffles Place to have lunch with Benny from A2G and Shaun from A1G at the famous Yong Tau Foo shop on 19 June. I totally missed the food there. It was lovely meeting them for lunch. Hmm, if I never remember wrongly, it was the first time we had lunch together. I only knew the two of them when we entered KP, though they were from NTU too. They had just gone for their Advanced Dive license a few weeks ago so we were talking about diving and life in KP.

On 20th, I met up with Zi Hao for KTV at night at Suntec. It had been almost a year since I met Zi Hao. Zi Hao was my ex-classmate in TJC. We had remained in close contact over the years but he was always flying off to other countries to carry out his flying training. Well, he is signed on to the Airforce so he flies a plane as his job. How cool right? =p

Enough about all the meet-ups... I shall continue another time. Ciao..

Cheers,
Hui

I shall comment on it after I finish eating. I am waiting for Wan Jing. She is late! Haha. Ok I shall continue later because I feel that I look like a moron when I keep on typing on my HP and standing stationary at spot. -.-

Hey to all, I have been constantly nagged at by my darling cousin to update the blog. Haha, I finally decided to update because I am now very free with no obligations to be bothered with.

Many things have happened since my last post. Hmm, I shall give a brief summary of what had happened from March till to-date. In March itself, I had gone for dear's cousin's baby's first month celebration which happened to fall on the same day as my company's KGE gathering dinner. KGE refers to the departments K, G and E. Hence, I skipped the gathering to go for my dear's event instead. There was a FJ Benjamin sale during one of the weeks in March. It was very jaw-dropping if you were there to see the crowd it garnered. We had to queue before being able to enter the area. The sale was held in Grand Hyatt ballroom. The brands available are all the brands under FJ Benjamin like Guess, Raoul, La Senza, Banana Republic, Aigner, Ecko etc. I eyed a few pairs of Guess heels but my size had been sold out. Sighz. The sale was really very good as things were more than 50% off for all those off season goods. In the end I got myself a Guess bag, Guess top and a La Senza nightgown. I also watched Confessions of a Shopaholic with dear. I loved all the clothes, shoes and accessories in the show.

I had restarted my exercise regime in April to reduce the increasing amount of fats. =p I arranged to go gym or jogging with different people like Veena and dear. However, the exercises I did was undermined with all the celebration eating I had during April in Royal China@ The  Raffles and Pu Tien. Dear managed to get the tickets to the Boat Asia & Dive Expo'09 at Keppel Island so I went with him and his two other friends. Seeing all those boats make me want to own one too. Haha. The boat itself is not very expensive but the docking and maintenance is the expensive part that deters people from buying them. On the last day of April, dear and I went to watch the musical Cats. I felt that it was not bad but not much of a storyline. The costumes were pretty and elaborate. This was one of the few musicals that had interactions with the audience. =)

On the first day of May, I went ice-skating with my friend because dear went on a short trip to Malaysia with his family. I fell and hurt my spine bone when I fell but it healed on its own after a month. I watched Wolverine with dear and I am quite surprised about his background, Wolverine's background I mean. It was generally a nice show that captured my full attention. Dear and I went to eat the white asparagus dinner at Paulaners with Liwei and Wan Jing on a Vesak Day after our swim at Keppel Country Club. The asparagus tasted just right though I felt that the chef could have cooked it even more tender. The platter wasn't that well done. I felt that the standard had dropped. Another BIG BIG thing that happened that I MUST talk about is that I TENDERED on 8th May 2009 to one of my partners. I was so happy after I tendered. =) My department had a post-peak party at Le Bistrot on 15th May. My favourite French cuisine. I guessed I will really missed all of them when I leave. =) The next day was a Beach Party at Sentosa organized by my company but I did not go because I wanted to spend time with dear instead. I restarted my French classes too. Hence, I will be going for French on every Saturday at 9am. Super early but it's worth it. =) Two days before my last day on the 20th May, I went for my last cashcount at Singapore Island Country Club with Martin. It was really great to go with him. We were slacking and spent lotsa time talking. I will really miss him. He is one of the closer G2s I know and it has always been easy to talk to him. 22nd May marked my last day in KPMG!! I went down to the client's place at Fishery Port road in the morning before returning to office to settle the rest of the stuff, do handover of my work to Adeline and clearance work. I left at 6.30pm because I was caught up with some work stuff with Adeline. Clearance also took up some time because there were things to check and return which required some time. Sian, I never thought my last day also need to do OT. Haha. Anyway, I met dear after I was done with all the stuff. Sorry to dear for waiting so long.

Well well, I flew off to Hong Kong on 24th May with Wan Jing and Shu Yu and returned on 30th May. It was a 7days 6nights trip. We had lotsa fun there though we were quite unlucky as it rained everyday until the last day when we were supposed to leave. ><" I won't upload photos here as the photos were already on my Facebook. Just go there and take a look and comment if you want. My photos and ShuYu's photos. We shopped everyday and went around looking for good food. We ate lotsa yummy food there!!! Thinking back, I wanna eat MORE!! =)

After I came back, I went to sign my contract for my new job on 1st June which I am supposed to start work on 1st July. I went to meet Veena for lunch at Bao Jin Tian after I sign my contract. It was my first time eating there and I find the food was quite nice. Both of us were lamenting that this may be our last time having lunch together during working days because she will be off to be a teacher soon. Haiz. Afterwhich I went for a facial at my facial salon before heading home. The next day, I went to meet dear for lunch at Funan. I needed to pass him the Lao Po Bing as it was freshly made so it would expire very soon. Ha he met up with me even though he told me to quarantine myself. -.- I went for a jog at the reservoir opposite my house after meeting him. On the 3rd of June, I had a yearning to sing KTV so I met up with Kailin to sing Kbox at Downtown East. I chose that place because both of us have direct buses to and from there from our house. I did not see Si Jia around until she open to the door to our room asking us whether we got any last orders. Haha, it was so surprising. She is working there now for the time being before her teaching job starts in July. =p Before I met up with dear on thursday for dinner, I went for a body scrub and brazilian waxing. We went to eat Turkish cuisine at Peace Centre and beancurd at Selegie. Afterwhich, we went to Kallang Entertainment Centre as we wanted to play bowling. Sadly to say, there was a queue waiting for the lanes. Hence, we decided to forego that thought and went to play arcade instead. Haha, it was very fun playing with him. =p

On Saturday after my French class, as usual, I went over to his house. He had just bought a gym ball so I was intrigued by it and sat on it. Can help in slimming down k? We drove down to Mt Faber Safra as we wanted to bowl but the carpark was full due to an event that was happening there. Hence, we left for Vivocity instead. We bought movie tickets for Terminator Salvation before going to True Fitness to get our 2weeks trial passes. The person who served us had a super bad attitude and bad customer service. Talking to her was very irritating. She also had no tactics at getting us to sign for a package. She is just totally chui! Cannot make it. I got the pass but I doubt I will go down at all, much less sign up through her for her to get the commission. -.- Anyway, we went to watch the movie after leaving True Fitness. We were puzzled by the story initially because of the lack of background information. However, we caught on pretty soon after and enjoyed the show. After the show, it was already 9plus and we were famished. As he had a Swensen's voucher, we decided to go Chinatown Point Swensens to eat. It was 10pm when we reached, but there was only ice cream left at that time so we had no choice but to drive further down to eat the famous porridge. Our initial plan was to eat the porridge first then go and eat the durians that were nearby but we were too full by the time we finished the porridge so we had to forego that too. Sighz so disappointed. =(

The next day, I went to his church service in the morning before going off to meet Wan Jing and Emileo to celebrate Emileo's birthday. I chose to go Hibiki restaurant at Cuppage Terrace because I had heard reviews that the food there is good. However, it was closed at 2plus and would reopen for dinner at 5pm. Hence, we went to eat Waraku de Gohan instead. After eating, the three of us went to watch Drag me to Hell at Cathay Cineleisure. That Emileo told us is horror movie but what we felt is that the movie genre is like gore. He said alot of people said that the show was very very scary but we felt otherwise. Haha.

Finally, coming to narrating about what I had done yesterday!! Haha, it has been a long post. I was basically slacking at home yesterday till 2.30pm before going to my grandma's house to eat the carrot cake she made and flipping through recipes to make muffins. Yes! Yours truly is going to bake muffins on Thursday for my dear dear. Haha. Tell you how it is after he tried it. =p Anyway, I left her house at around 6pm to go down to Potong Pasir for my first dive theory lessons at Apache Dive Company. I was halfway through the lesson watching the informative video when i saw two familiar faces walking past. We were surprised to see each other.  It was Benny and Shaun from NTU Accountancy and KPMG. We were from the same unit but different departments in KPMG. I was from A3G while Benny and Shaun are from A2G and A1G respectively but we are all from the G unit. =) They are also taking dive lessons but their dive trip is 12 June whereas mine is 26June. Sighz, so sad it is different, else I will have people I know accompanying me. Nevermind then, I can make friends with those people that I will be going with. =)

Yups, that's all for the updates. I will REALLY REALLY TRY to update more often. =)

Cheers,
Hui

So many things had happened since I last updated my blog. Many unhappy and heartwrenching things... I had done wrong in some aspects especially in me saying out stuff without thinking through to rephrase my thoughts. Hence, I had hurt someone with my words. I am sorry for it. I was too impulsive I guessed. Anyway, all this had not ended as there is still no final conclusion till to-date.

I am now at my client's place at Fishery Port, which technically speaking is at the far end of Jurong, but yet to set foot on Tuas. The secludedness of this place is horrible as there is no food around, well, except for one miserable Muslim food stall which sells very limited food and is not appealing to my taste buds at all. Hence, we had to buy takeaways in the morning to eat for lunch. Also, this place is so inaccessible that I can't leave early to meet my dear after work. I had to wait for everyone to share a cab back to civilisation. -.-

I really hated not being able to meet dear on a weekday, though it wasn't my fave day of the week to meet him either. Meeting on a weekday is very short and not fulfilling. You can't deem it as super quality time because mostly it is just a dinner plus some strolling around, or dinner with a movie thereafter. Time is soooo short on a weekday evening. Hence, I still prefer meeting on Saturdays. But, I still want to meet on a weekday, even though it is only for a short while. Thus, I really hated now!! I can't meet him after work now!!! =(((

Another thing that prompted me to blog at this ungodly hour is that I don't like that voodoo doll accessory in his car now. Before he put this up a week ago, it was a handphone accessory given to him by me (I bought it in Japan). It was supposed to be a lucky charm with two cute heart-shaped thing hanging beneath. All of a sudden, he changed it to that voodoo doll accessory which he said was given to him by his friend in the past. Seriously, the moment I saw it, I was super unhappy. I just didn't say it. Sounds like a small thing to argue about but I really don't like so I pretended it was ok.

Anyway, shall continue another day. Got to continue working,..

Cheers,
Hui

Happy New Year still...

It is still The Chinese New Year period...

Well, I met dear on the third day of CNY, 28 Jan 09 at Cityhall before going down to Toa Payoh to meet his mum and grandma. I brought the Eu Yang Sang Birdnest set plus a pair of oranges to "bai nian" with his mum. Dinner was at Crystal Jade at Toa Payoh and the xiao long bao was good. Haha. The next day, when I told my mum that I went there to eat, she told me that there was a serious complaint against that particular Crystal Jade for its bad service.

On 30th Jan, I met up with Jie Feng to watch "Whispers". "Whispers" or 私房话 is one of the main chinese stage drama for this year's Huayi Festival (华艺节). It is a play by The Finger Players, a local stage drama company. The layout of the stage is very unique and creative. Really got to applaud the one who designed it for the innovative layout. The show itself is alright, though we all agreed that it is considered abstract and there is no single way to decipher the meaning the show is trying to bring out. Well, I won't discuss my viewpoints over here because unless you had seen it, you may not understand what I am trying to say. Haha.. So if you had watched and appreciated it, feel free to talk to me about it.

The next day, I went over to dear's house at 12plus to meet him. After eating breakfast at his house, we went to watch "The Wedding Game". Generally, I felt that the show was alright, as in normal and neither is it bad nor fantastic. Haha. Entertaining though, for a quiet Saturday afternoon. After the movie, we drove down to dear's aunt house at Hougang area. We were gambling there. My luck was so-so throughout, winning and losing almost equates. Haha.

Then on Sunday 1st Feb 09, I met up with dear at Plaza Singapura at 1pm as he wanted to buy an all-in-one printer there. Afterwhich, we followed the initial plan of going down to Sentosa to see the flowers festival. However, upon reaching Sentosa's gateway, it rained so we had to abandon the idea of going to the flowers festival and chill out at VivoCity instead. It was then did dear suggested us getting a pair of hamsters and rearing them. *Faint... Nearly fainted can? Haha, anyone who knows me should know I am no animal lover (I don't love animals, but I am not an animal hater) and I am kinda scared of animals. Haha. Guess what? I got persuaded when he pulled me into the Pet Safari at Vivo. The number of times I entered a pet shop is less than 3 times can? Haha. Usually when my friends enter, I will just stand outside to wait. Anyway, I had decided to try and rear a pair of hamsters. Ha, wish me luck k? =p After leaving Vivo, we went to church service at his church before going to my grandma's house for dinner as he wanted to "bai nian" with my parents. Ha, people guess what? I did go down to Sentosa to see my lovely flowers eventually! In fact, we went after dinner at 8plus. Thanks alot to dear who don't mind bringing me down at such a late time and driving to and fro. I am so happy!! =D

I had not been working late these few days as this engagement was not as taxing and deadline not as tight as my previous one. So glad too. =)

Anyway, gtg... Shall continue again.. Tataz~

Cheers,
Hui
